Congressman Morgan McGarvey Elected to Co-Chair Largest Future Forum in History

WASHINGTON, DC (December 10, 2024) – Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey (KY-03) announced that he has been elected to serve as a Co-Chair for Communications of the Future Forum Caucus for the 119th Congress.

“I’m honored to have been elected co-Chair of the Future Forum for the 119th Congress,” said Congressman Morgan McGarvey. “Too often, young people in America are undervalued and overlooked—we have to do better. By investing in the next generation of leaders and making sure their voices are not just heard, but valued, we’re investing in a stronger America. I look forward to working with my fellow co-chairs and the entire Future Forum Caucus as we continue this mission.”

In the 118th Congress, Rep. McGarvey introduced several bills to fight for America’s youth—including legislation to create a Young Adult Tax Credit and lift young adults out of poverty, the Child Safety and Well-Being Act to establish a long-overdue independent children’s commission to advise on how best to support children, and the School Meals Expansion Act to reduce student hunger.

As a member of the Child Labor Prevention Task Force, Rep. McGarvey has also fought to keep kids safe and protect them from labor violations. Following a federal investigation into several child labor violations in Louisville, McGarvey introduced the Workers POWER Act to better prevent the exploitation of kids and workers.

Rep. McGarvey also established the first Congressional Youth Advisory Council in Louisville, a nonpartisan initiative that provides students with the opportunity to advise him on policy issues and have their voices better represented in Washington, D.C.
