Congressman Morgan McGarvey’s Statement on Elections in Pakistan

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 14, 2024) – Today, Congressman Morgan McGarvey (KY-03) released the following statement on the February 8th elections in Pakistan:

“Last week, millions of Pakistanis made their votes heard in a long-awaited election,” said Rep. McGarvey. “I support free and fair democratic elections around the world and echo the Biden administration’s concerns about restrictions on freedoms of expression, association, and assembly in the most recent Pakistani elections. I support the Biden administration’s call for an  investigation into allegations of interference in the electoral process, and I look forward to working to advance our U.S.-Pakistani partnership and support democracy and freedom in Pakistan.”
